Transport Ministry's instructions come after Takata's disclosure on Wednesday (11 June) that it may need to make further repairs to defective airbags

Japan's Transport Ministry has ordered Honda, Nissan, Mazda, and BMW Japan to decide as soon as possible whether they need to recall more vehicles over potentially faulty airbags made by Takata Corporation, reports Reuters. Some of these automakers could decide by the end of this month whether to recall more vehicles, according to sources. The ministry also asked automakers to study closely information released by Toyota after it recalled nearly 2.3 million vehicles globally on Wednesday (11 June) over the same issue.
