Toyota's Polish plant starts production of new three-cylinder powertrain for new Aygo
New three-cylinder unit will be used in both the Aygo and the Yaris, with the unit also being shipped to Toyota Motor Manufacturing France (TMMF)
Toyota's Polish powertrain plant TMMP (Toyota Motor Manufacturing Poland) has held a line ceremony to celebrate the launch of a new version of the company's 1.0-litre three-cylinder gasoline (petrol) powertrain for the new Toyota Aygo, according to a company statement. The new powertrain is being manufactured in two different variants, with the eco variant of the engine posting an extremely low CO2 figure of 88g/km with fuel consumption of 3.8 l/100km.
