Cumulative production of passenger cars remains up showing a year on year increase of 3.5%.

UK passenger car production has fallen by 9.8% year on year (y/y) during May, according to the latest data published by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT). Output fell from 129,355 units to 116,655 units during the month. Despite the fall, production of passenger cars remains up in the year to date (YTD) standing at 654,895 units, an increase of 3.5% y/y.
