Daimler considers moving all German Sprinter production to Dusseldorf plant
Daimler is looking to lower the production costs of its flagship light commercial vehicle (LCV) range
Daimler are reported to be looking at the prospect of moving all German production of the Sprinter van to the company's plant in Dusseldorf as of 2018, according to a report by the Borsen-Zeitung newspaper. In order to counter the threat of moving production away from the Ludwigsfelde plant the state of Brandenburg, where the plant is located, is said to be offering EUR50 million (USD67.8 million) in subsidies and incentives in order to maintain production there.
