Evonik to form JV for silicon production in China
Production to begin in 2016
Evonik and Jiangsu Zhongneng Polysilicon Technology Development, a wholly-owned subsidiary of GCL-Poly Energy Holdings (GCL-Poly), have signed a letter of intent to establish a joint-venture (JV) for the production of fumed silica and ultra-pure silicon tetrachloride in China, according to the company’s press release.
