BMW recalls 1.6 million 3-Series over faulty airbags

Affected vehicles were built between May 1999 and August 2006

BMW announced yesterday (16 July) that it would recall 1.6 million 3-Series vehicles globally to replace faulty airbags, related to the ongoing recalls of faulty Takata airbag inflators.
