GM would like to begin construction in September 2014, with completion expected in mid-2016

General Motors (GM) is considering a USD37-million investment into its Michigan (United States) plant in Lansing Delta Township, according to a Detroit News report. The newspaper cites a property tax abatement application to the city of Lansing, where the plant is located. GM is considering construction of "several body shop and general assembly additions to support operations". This investment does not increase the job count, but the report indicates it could retain 38 jobs.
