New facility will supply lighting systems to Hyundai's plant in Novosice

Hyundai Mobis has announced that it will invest EUR95 million (USD127.6 million) in establishing a new automotive lighting factory in the Czech Republic. According to a Korean Herald report, the facility will be based near the town of Ostravia and is the second of the company's plants in the Czech Republic after that in Novosice, which supplies front-seat and front-end modules for Hyundai's nearby car-manufacturing plant. Commenting on the deal, a Hyundai Mobis official said, "The European factory is expected to reduce foreign-exchange risks, and save distribution time and costs."
