Amtek India forms casting foundry venture with Japan's Riken

New JV adds to the group's expertise, already bolstered by other recent acquisitions.

Automotive component manufacturer Amtek India has established an equal-stake joint venture (JV) with Japan's Riken Corporation, the Indian company says in a notice to stock exchanges. The companies plan to build an iron casting foundry in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan (India). The new iron casting foundry will be built with an initial capacity of 1.5 million units per year of engine camshafts. Headquartered in Tokyo, Riken has manufacturing locations in Japan, China, Taiwan, Indonesia, Thailand, India, the United States, and Mexico.
