Magna profits up 23% in Q2
Sales increased in North American, European, and Asian operations, though Rest of the World sales fell.
Canadian auto-parts supplier Magna International announced its second-quarter 2014 results on 8 August 2014, citing record sales of USD9.46 billion for the quarter and an increase of 6% over the second quarter of 2013, largely on strong North American demand and the ongoing recovery in Europe. North America accounted for USD4.75 billion, about 50% of the quarter's sales; Europe's USD2.66 billion in sales provided another 28% of total revenue. Over the first half of 2014, the company posted a record USD18.43 billion in sales, also up 6%.
