General Motors (GM) signs agreement for Phase 2 of Wuhan plant
Will add a further 240,000 units-per-annum (upa) capacity at the site
Shanghai General Motors (SGM) has signed an agreement to begin construction of the second phase of its vehicle production and assembly plant in Wuhan in China's Hubei province. The second phase is scheduled to begin at the end of 2014 with investment of CNY7.5 billion (USD1.22 billion), adding a further 240,000 units-per-annum (upa) capacity at the site, local media Sinocast reports.
