Reports that have appeared over the past couple of days suggest that the EU is intending to close the emissions testing loopholes by the year end, while campaigners are seeking to prevent the entry of road vehicles in to the European Emissions Trading Scheme

The European Union (EU) is preparing to undertake steps to close the testing cycle loopholes under the current system, reports Reuters. An official working for the EU, talking on a condition of anonymity
