PSA to cut output and jobs at Sochaux plant
IHS Automotive already expects a 13.5% y/y decline in output on this line to be suffered this year,
PSA Peugeot-Citroën is to cut jobs as part of a reduction of output at its site in Sochaux (France), reports Reuters. Union officials told the news service that output will be reduced from 649 vehicles per day to 489 units in November, affecting a production line that builds the DS5 as well as two Peugeots. The number of staff is to be cut by 300, the equivalent of around half a shift at the site. Guy Misere, an official with the CFDT union also voiced concerns that the situation would get worse.
