Ford increases lay-offs at Brazilian plant, GM suspends Brazilian exports to Argentina
A total of 224 workers suspended
Ford has laid off 116 more workers at its Taubate plant in Brazil, adding to the 108 suspended last month. Ford wants to reduce production at the plant to meet demand and trim an excessive workforce, according to local source Valor Economico.
