Minda Furukawa set up auto part unit inside prison campus in India
Initiative expected to provide employment to about 200 to 250 convicts
Minda Furukawa Electric, a joint-venture between the Ashok Minda-promoted Spark Minda Group and Japan-based Furukawa Electric, has set up a manufacturing unit at Tihar Jail in New Delhi, India, under a private-public partnership (PPP) model to produce wiring harness for Maruti Suzuki, reports Autocar Professional.
