Opel recalls 8,000 Corsa and Adam models for steering checks
Vehicles manufactured with a steering system part that did not meet specification
Opel has announced that it will issue a recall for 8,000 new Corsa and Adam models manufactured since May 2014 to check for potential faults in their steering systems, according to a Reuters report. In a statement Opel said, "These vehicles have been manufactured with a steering system part that did not meet specification." Opel also said that owners will be contacted by the company and requested not to drive the cars until a date can be arranged for them to be inspected and repaired. Owners who believe their cars may be included in the production batch in question can also check the Opel website to see if their car needs to be inspected.
