Cheng Shin narrows the gap on Yokohama.

The Cheng Shin Rubber Industry Company aims to be the eighth-largest global tyre-maker, the Central News Agency in Taipei reports. The company's chairman, Lo Tsai-jen, stated that his company posted sales of USD4.76 billion in 2013. This was around USD157 million lower than Japanese tyre-maker Yokohama's revenue in the 2013 period. In the first half of 2014, Cheng Shin states it narrowed the gap between itself and Yokohama to just USD41 million.
