Minda, Panasonic to establish battery JV in India

Plan is to produce 2 million units in 2018.

Minda Industries and Panasonic have agreed to establish a joint venture (JV) for producing automotive lead-acid batteries in India. According to a report in the Hindu Business Line, the companies plan to invest INR1.6 billion (USD25.9 million) in the venture which will be 60%-owned by Panasonic.
