BMW expands electric powertrain production lines in German plant

BMW has added two new production lines in its Dingolfing manufacturing plant in Germany to accelerate the production of electric motors and lithium-ion battery packs for the company's electric vehicles (EVs), reports ecomento.com. BMW has not yet disclosed any detail regarding the cost incurred for the expansion and the additional capacity. The expansion is expected to create 200 new jobs at the Dingolfing plant, which currently employs more than 18,000 people.
