Iran Khodro ramps up vehicle production in Iraq
IHS forecasts global production of Iran Khodro vehicles to increase by around 47% year on year to more than 240,000 units in 2014.
Iran Khodro (IKCO) has accelerated its vehicle assembly operations in Iraq, according to news agency Zawya. The automaker has increased the number of cars it assembles in Iraq to 50 units per day, with an increase in shifts at the request of the Iraqi side. In the longer term, IKCO plans to increase daily vehicle production to 100 units, although it has not revealed a timescale for this target.
