Fiat launches Avventura compact SUV in India
To be manufactured at the company's Ranjangaon plant in Maharashtra .
Fiat Group has launched the Avventura in India, calling it a compact sport utility vehicle (SUV), reports the Economic Times. The vehicle, which is based on the standard Punto model, will be made available with both gasoline (petrol) and diesel powertrains and will be priced from INR599,000 (USD9,790) to INR817,000 (USD13,354). Fiat will attempt to compete in the growing market of compact crossovers in India, currently led by the Ford EcoSport and Renault Duster. The vehicle will be manufactured at the company's Ranjangaon plant in Maharashtra and will initially be sold in the domestic market only.
