GKN to build new plant in Danyang

Company now among the top five suppliers to the Chinese automotive powder metallurgy market after entering market in 2006.

GKN is investing GBP8.7 million (USD14.05 million) in building a new facility in Danyang in China's eastern Jiangsu Province, expanding its existing base in the area, as well as its base in Yizheng (also in Jiangsu Province). In a company statement, the supplier said the new facility in Danyang will cover 20,000 square metres, and will be completed in September 2015. Additionally, GKN Powder Metallurgy has opened a new plant in Yizheng (China).
