China drafts new NEV production policy
Allow market forces to create ‘significant push in development’
The Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) aims to release a new policy that will re-define the necessary requirements for electric vehicle (EV) battery-makers, while the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) aims to release a new policy by year-end that will re-define the requirements for new energy vehicle (NEV) producers, reports Bloomberg.
