Toyota to stay in Venezuela
Plant will produce only about 3,000 units in 2014
Local media El Universal cites Toyota's managing officer and CEO of its Latin American arm, Steve St Angelo, as saying that the automaker intends to keep its operations in Venezuela, despite difficulties that have caused a reduction in auto production. The company's plant will produce only about 3,000 units in 2014, down from 9,000 in 2013, according to the report. St Angelo also indicated that Toyota expects to close out 2014 with 400,000 units sold across the Latin American region.
