Ford is recalling the 2014 and 2015 model-year Ford Fusion in North America for a programming issue in the instrument cluster, according to a company press release. The recall is a safety compliance issue, relative to federal standards, to prevent rollaway vehicles and to reduce theft. Currently, the key can be removed from the ignition 30 minutes after the engine is turned off, even if the transmission is not in 'park'. The affected vehicles were built at Flat Rock, Michigan (United States) and Hermosillo (Mexico). The recall affects the Fusion, Fusion Energi, and Fusion Hybrid. Ford says it is aware of 56,479 vehicles in the US, 6,048 in Canada, and 2,342 in Mexico as of 11 November 2014.
