No official statement has yet been released by the companies regarding the start of vehicle assembly

Volkswagen (VW) plans to start assembly of cars in Nigeria with the Dubai-based Stallion Group by early 2015, according to a Bloomberg report. According to the report, VW has moved ahead with the project for small-scale final assembly of cars mainly because of tax rules that encourage local manufacturing in Nigeria. However, no official statement has been released by the companies regarding the start of vehicle assembly in Nigeria.
