MAN enters into agreement with Nigerian conglomerate SCOA to assemble trucks
Plans to assemble about 3,000 units per annum at its plant, which is scheduled to commence operations next month.
German truck- and bus-maker MAN has entered into a completely knocked down (CKD) agreement with Nigerian conglomerate SCOA to assemble trucks in Nigeria, reports local newspaper Vanguard. MAN plans to assemble about 3,000 units per annum at its plant, which is scheduled to commence operations next month. Speaking about the development, the group managing director of SCOA said that MAN will not only serve the Nigerian market, but also the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) sub-region, which is a regional group of 16 countries.
