New standards more aligned to the latest standards in US and EU

Mexico’s Secretary of Environment and Natural Resources (SEMARNAT), the agency responsible for emission standards for new vehicles in the country, has proposed modification in existing heavy-duty vehicles emission standards NOM-044-SEMARNAT-2006 in order to align them with the current standards in place in the rest of North America and in the European Union (EU), reports the Green Car Congress.
