Suzuki plans to start production at Gujarat plant in 2017 with YCA
Expected to start series production by mid-2017.
Suzuki plans to start prototype production at its Gujarat plant in January 2017, according to a report by the Economic Times. The Japanese automaker is understood to have invited request for quotations (RFQs) from suppliers for the plant, which is expected to start series production by mid-2017. The first vehicle to be produced at the factory has been codenamed the YCA, said the report.
