Plant currently makes 4-cylinder, 1.6 L engines

Nissan will start production of 3-cylinder, 1.0 L engine at its new powertrain plant in Resende, in the state of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), the company’s president and CEO Carlos Ghosn announced during a visit at the plant earlier this week.
