Michelin announces key global growth objectives for 2020
Aims to expand presence to 170 countries, raise annual output to 171 tires
France-based tire-maker Michelin has defined six key global growth ambitions, which it targets to achieve by 2020, according to a company press release. Michelin aims to improve the overall performance of its products by at least 10%, compared with 2010, while using fewer raw materials. By means of product improvements, the company expects reducing vehicle fuel consumption by 3 billion litres over the lifespan of its tires, as well as avoiding 8 million tons of carbon dioxide (CO2).
