Hyundai Mobis reports flat 2014 net profits
Marginal decrease despite a 5.8% year-on-year (y/y) growth in revenues
Hyundai Mobis has reported a marginal decrease in net income for the full-year 2014. According to a company statement, the Hyundai entity earned a total of KRW3.39 trillion (USD3.12 billion) in the 12-month period ended 31 December 2014, down 0.1% from the KRW3.4 trillion in 2013. Earnings were down despite a 5.8% year-on-year (y/y) growth in revenues to KRW36.2 trillion. Full-year operating income for the company was up 5% y/y to KRW3.1 trillion. In the latest quarter, the company registered a 21.7% y/y jump in operating profit to KRW881 billion, while revenues increased 15.8% y/y to KRW9.84 trillion.
