Goodyear recalls SUV tires

GM halts sale of affected vehicles

Goodyear is recalling about 48,500 sport utility vehicle (SUV) tyres, reports Associated Press. The recall has also caused General Motors (GM) to halt sales of about 6,300 Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia, and Buick Enclave SUVs until the tyres are replaced. The recall covers the 18-inch Fortera HL tyres, specifically ones produced between 30 November 2014 and 10 January. Of the tyres being recalled, about 32,100 were produced for the GM vehicles and about 16,400 were sold as replacement tyres.
