Mitsubishi begins production at new Philippine plant

Starting with production of the Adventure compact multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) and L300 van.

Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) has begun production at its new plant in Santa Rosa, Laguna, the automaker says in a press release. The new 21-hectare plant has a production capacity of 50,000 units per annum (upa), significantly higher than the 30,000-upa capacity of its Cainta plant in Rizal province. According to the press release, the new plant is starting with production of the Adventure compact multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) and L300 van.
