Shanghai GM begins production in Wuhan
GM expanding production levels in China by adding bases to strategically raise market penetration in the country's interior regions.
Shanghai General Motors (SGM), the joint venture between SAIC Motor and GM, has begun production of passenger vehicles at a new plant in Wuhan in China's Hubei province. In a statement sent to IHS Automotive, the automaker states that the first model to be produced at the plant is the Buick Excelle.
