South Korea reports first trade surplus in 2014 automotive parts business with Japan
South Korea exported USD885.14 million worth of automotive parts to Japan in 2014, up 10.5% year on year (y/y)
South Korea's automotive components business registered a trade surplus with Japan for the first time in 2014, reports local publication Yonhap News Agency. Citing data released by the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) and the Korea International Trade Association (KITA), South Korea recorded an automotive parts trade surplus of USD23.75 million with Japan last year, a turnaround from the loss of USD84.33 million in 2013.
