Port strikes delay parts; Toyota, Honda adjust production
Prolonged slowdown at the port operations begin to impact transplant operations
Honda and Toyota are adjusting some US production as parts shipments are being delayed through 29 ports along the West Coast of the United States. According to an Automotive News report, Honda will reduce production at plants in the US states of Ohio and Indiana, as well as the Canadian state of Ontario. According to Honda spokesman Mark Morrison, parts in low supply include electronics and transmissions.
