Joint manufacture would take place at Nissan's Aguascalientes (Mexico) factory for the American market and Nissan's site in Barcelona (Spain) for the EMEA markets.
Renault-Nissan is in negotiations with Daimler on sharing pick-up technology and beginning joint manufacture, reports El Confidencial, citing French news website Les Echos. The report suggests that joint manufacture would take place at Nissan's Aguascalientes (Mexico) factory for the North American market. However, reportedly, Renault will also broaden its range in this area, with production for South America also taking place at the factory, while also taking place at Nissan's site in Barcelona (Spain) for the European, North African, and Middle Eastern markets.
