PKC forms JV with Huakai in China

Subject to regulatory approval and expected to be finalised by the end of 2015

Finnish automotive wire-harness supplier PKC Group has signed an agreement to form a joint venture (JV) with Jiangsu Huakai Wire Harness Company. Huakai currently develops and manufactures electrical distribution systems for trucks, construction vehicles, and buses in China and counts Beijing Foton Daimler Automotive, Kinglong, and Iveco as customers. In a company presentation, PKC Group stated that the new JV, the agreement for which was signed on 28 March, will have a total equity value of CNY300 million (USD48 million), of which PKC Group will contribute CNY150 million. The JV will be owned 50:50 between PKC and Huakai.
