Country Production Analysis: South Korea
South Korean production in 2014 is estimated at 4.46 million units, slightly up by 0.3% y/y, helped by sales growth in the domestic market with new car releases and strong marketing promotion. Exports were sluggish, though, because of a sharp drop for GM Korea stemming from the removal of Chevrolet from Europe.
