Response to falling demand and growing inventories

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) has halted production at its Betim factory in Minas Gerais (Brazil) in response to falling demand and growing inventories, reports Reuters. A spokesperson for the company told the news service that the company had already planned for paid leave from the site between Friday (3 April) and Sunday (5 April) for the Easter holiday. However, the company had now extended this period from 1 April until 6 April.
