SKF's ePowertrain technology said to reduce hybrid, EV production cost
The ePowertrain portfolio will be showcased at the ongoing Hannover Fair
SKF's ePowertrain technology will help hybrid and electric vehicle (HEV) manufacturers reduce the assembly and production costs of vehicles, the company has said in a press release. The technology will improve vehicle efficiencies, reducing energy use and carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions and extending operating range. The ePowertrain portfolio will be showcased at the ongoing Hannover Fair (Germany). Alberto Carlevaris, SKF Engine and ePowertrain Segment manager, said, "We have developed our ePowertrain product portfolio to help HEV manufacturers improve the efficiency of vehicle sub-systems. This in turn reduces CO2 emissions while contributing to the vehicle driving experience through extended range and reduced noise and vibration."
