Changan to open new base in Chongqing
New plant will have a production capacity of 240,000 vehicles per annum.
Chinese automaker Changan has reportedly won approval from the government for a new production plant in Chongqing. The CNY3.4-billion (USD548-million) plant will have a production capacity of 240,000 vehicles per annum, reports Automotive News China. The first models to be built at the factory will be gasoline (petrol) and electric vehicle (EV) versions of the Changan Eado compact sedan.
