Ballard Power Systems to supply fuel-cell modules for eight buses in China

Canada-based Ballard Power Systems is to supply its next-generation FCvelocity-HD7 power modules to a Chinese customer, according to the company. Ballard is expected to ship all of these modules, which will be used in eight buses, by the end of 2015. "We are now beginning to see meaningful evidence of growing demand for clean energy mass transportation alternatives in China, including both buses and trams," said Randy MacEwen, Ballard's president and CEO.
