Production could begin as soon as 2016

Fiat is planning to manufacture a new medium-range sedan at its Cordoba assembly plant in Argentina, according to local media sources. Fiat will make detailed announcements on the plan within 12−20 months, as it waits until the newly elected government is settled to negotiate specific conditions for investment in the plant, reports El Cronista Comercial. The report suggests production of the sedan could begin as soon as 2016, and that production capacity at the plant would be increased to 200,000 vehicles per year, up from 100,000 units per annum.
