Toyota Vietnam proposes support measures to government to aid local vehicle manufacturing
Suggested measuresinclude a reduction in CKD component parts import tax from the current levels of 15–25% to zero
Toyota Motors Vietnam has proposed a series of measures to the Vietnamese government to help support the local vehicle manufacturing industry, reports local publication Viet Nam News Service. Yoshihisa Maruta, CEO of Toyota Vietnam and chairperson at the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA), held a meeting with the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry yesterday.
