Delphi to cut 176 jobs at UK plant
Site to focus now focus on "higher-skilled work and innovation."
Delphi is planning to cut 176 jobs at one of its UK plants, reports BBC News. According to the news service, the Delphi Diesel Systems factory in Sudbury (United Kingdom) will remove 91 full-time and 85 agency roles from the site which will focus now focus on "higher-skilled work and innovation." Discussions are set to begin this week, with the hope that many of these workers will take voluntary redundancy or early retirement. The work done by these staff will be shipped to overseas sites.
