Mitsubishi to recall 130,000 cars over faulty defrosters, headlights
Nearly 77,000 units because windshield defroster might fail and about 53,400 units due to potential headlight, tail light, and windshield wiper failure due to unstable electronic control unit
Japanese automaker Mitsubishi is recalling more than 130,000 units globally due to two different issues, reports news publication the Associated Press. Nearly 77,000 units are being recalled because the windshield defroster might fail as a result of a faulty blower motor. This recall affects the 2009 to 2011 model year Lancer, 2010 and 2011 model year Lancer Sportback and Lancer Evolution, and the 2011 model year Outlander Sport. Separately, about 53,400 units are being recalled as headlights, tail lights, and windshield wipers may not work because of an unstable electronic control unit. This particular recall affects the 2009 and 2010 model year Lancer and Outlander, and the 2010 model year Evolution and Sportback.
