Toyota and Mazda team up to evaluate opportunities

Toyota and Mazda today (14 May) announced in a joint statement that they had entered into an agreement for a mutually beneficial long-term partnership. Neither company confirmed which projects they might tackle first or when a joint project would be commercialised. The two automakers are setting up a joint committee to evaluate how best to use each company's strengths, the statement says, encouraging broad and meaningful collaboration in areas including environmental and advanced safety technologies.
