LG Chem to supply batteries for Great Wall Motor EVs in China
LG Chem expects to become a top supplier in the EV market.
LG Chem has secured a contract to supply batteries for Chinese automaker Great Wall Motor's electric vehicles (EVs), reports the Korea Times. The automaker is expected to launch its EVs in 2017. The supplier has also signed a deal with another automotive manufacturer in China, according to LG Chem spokesperson C S Song, who did not disclose more details. In another development, LG Chem is planning to use the entire line of its plant in Holland, Michigan (United States), for electric cars this year, reports Business Korea.
